Hi everyone! My name is Alex Hamilton and I am the lady behind Willow & Ivy Events! I'm originally a Midwestern girl hailing from Ohio. With a wedding planning background rooted in Washington, D.C., I am officially ready to take on events in the PNW. After living and working in the nation's capital for two years, I was looking for a change. Once I was settled in Seattle, I realized that I wasn't ready to give up the wonderful world of weddings and so Willow & Ivy Events was born.
As if wedding planning wasn't enough, I am also the contributing editor for a wedding blog called United with Love. It allows me to combine two of my passions, writing and weddings, to help couples plan and design their dream wedding. From inspiration and ideas to tips and advice, I have the knowledge and background to chat about it all! I also work on executive engagement at a large tech company in the area, but don't let my busy schedule fool you; I am an incredibly organized #girlboss whose time management skills leave ample room for my wedding clients!
When I am not planning weddings or managing tech engagement, I spend my time reading everything I can get my hands on, eating as much as possible around Seattle, and running as many miles as my body can handle. I am particularly fond of RunDisney race weekends where I run anywhere from 1 to 3 races in 3 days. I am truly motivated by the bling. Have an awesome race that you think I should run? Let me know!
