The Big Fake Wedding

Today’s post is all about inspiration! Our past posts have been pretty focused on tips and advice, but this one is all about the photos. Last fall we participated in an event called The Big Fake Wedding. In case you don’t know, the BFW is an opportunity for wedding vendors to showcase their products and services to shopping brides and grooms just as they would at a real wedding. That way, the “wedding guests” get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and smell the flowers… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises, leaving brides-and-grooms-to-be saying “I want my wedding to be just like that!”

We worked with some pretty amazing vendors to pull of our portion of the event. We got to design 5 (yes 5!) of the 10 dinner tables which is basically a dream come true. I mean, how often do you get to do 5 totally different designs for 1 event? Well, it’s not very often. We were given a mood board to work off of full of blues and creams and we took that idea and ran with it. Along with some other pretty killer Seattle wedding vendors we created some of our favorite designs to date! We have to shout out these amazing women – Anna, Molly, and Emily of Petal + Vine Floral Design, Becca of Northwest Vintage Rentals, Rachel of Rachel Johnson Calligraphy Co.! With their help, we created a vintage table with a calligraphy runner, a dark and moody table with Gatsby themed goblet "place cards," a modern tablescape with a greenery and gold hoop backdrop, a funky geometric design, and a beachy tablescape with driftwood touches. And an extra big thanks to the ladies of Petal + Vine for helping with the Willow & Ivy Events cookie favors for the attendees! Which one of our designs is your favorite?!
