Sarah & Andrew: 1927 Events

Early in their dating, when introducing Sarah to his friend's, Andrew couldn't figure out what to call her. They eventually settled on "media naranja" which translates to half orange. The sentiment behind this "nickname" of sorts is completely adorable. Because no two oranges are identical, each half of an orange only have one other half that fits it. When you think of it like that, "media naranja" isn’t just one’s mate, but the perfect match, more like a “soulmate.” When they told us this story we knew we had to incorporate oranges into the day through pops of color, signage, and even the florals! The ladies of Petal + Vine searched high and low to find us the perfect kumquats to include in the bouquet and centerpieces while my team went from store to store to find the perfect "cuties" for the place cards at each seat.

Unfortunately, I was not able to a part of this beautiful wedding day. The week of this wedding my grandfather passed away somewhat suddenly and so I immediately got on an airplane back to Ohio to spend time with my family. My grandfather and I were extremely close and so this loss was a great personal blow. I am so thankful for Sarah and Andrew's immense understanding and love in addition to my right hand woman Lizzi's ability to step in and take over as I was no longer able. With the help of an incredible vendor team, the W&I Events team was able to pull this off without my assistance. I will be forever grateful to everyone for allowing me to be with my family.
